Placemat Accent Pillow

I had thought about doing this project for a while, and then Tasha at Designer Trapped in a Lawyer's Body shared this post and it looked too easy! So I had to go for it!!

 1. Using the seam ripper, remove about 3-4" of the seam. As you can see in the picture above I could not find my seam ripper and Meme helped with her knife.

 2. Fill with fiber fill.
 3. Make sure you stuff the corners really tight to get a nice firm, and full pillow that will display nicely.
 4. Fluff and maneuver the filling BEFORE you sew the seam back up.

 5. Using a flat catch stitch, sew the seam back up.

6. Enjoy!

This whole project took me less than 5 min and less than $8 and the results are BEAUTIFUL!!! I may have to make a nice accent pillow for each season now. My salt and peper shaker collect is growing, I think I may have to start a pillow collection too!!

The Everything Christmas Planner

One of my goals this year is to have less stress this Christmas season. One of the ways I want to do that is to get organized and plan ahead. So I put together this awesome Christmas planner. It includes:

Wish List
You're going to want to make a couple copies of this one. Let you family fill one out or use it to keep a list when things are mentioned through out the season.

Menu Planner
Whether for a party or Christmas dinner with the family, making a meal plan and shopping list can help save not only time, but also money!

Gift List
Use this list to stay on budget, remember where you hid gifts and make sure you ship gift in enough time.

Calendars
I've included blank November and December calendars as well as a December 2015 calendar.

Decoration Inventory
I think this is what I'm the most excited about: You'll want to keep this one from year to year. This makes setting up before the holidays and breaking down afterwards a snap. No more trying to remember where the tree topper is stored, or finding a decoration still out in February. This can also save you money when decorations hit the stores right after Halloween: now you can easily see what you have and need before you pull everything out!

Christmas Card List
He may be making a list and checking it twice, but the last thing you want to do is leave someone off your list. So use this to keep and update addresses each year and make sure everyone gets your 'Seasons Greetings'

Budget
January debt is depressing!! Avoid all that by writing and staying on budget. If you're like us and save a little bit through out the year, a Christmas budget will help you make sure that savings lasts the whole season.

Free Printable - Christmas Bucket List

December kind of snuck up on us this year. Since Christmas is a bit crazy already I try to keep our holiday bucket list a little shorter than our other seasonal bucket lists. This year's list is simple and sweet! Bubee wanted to make sure we did our traditional Family Christmas Breakfast. Rosie Posie and I decided to add one (And only one) elaborate new item: Take a Carriage Ride. A small mom and pop offers Carriage Rides around our town square, and we want to try to enjoy that one day. Whether it will be a date night, family night or girls night out I'm not sure yet. But I can't wait to see what this wonderful season will hold!

Go here to download your free printables. I made 2 versions this year: Mrs. Gingerbread and Mr. Gingerbread. For personal use ONLY!
