Easter Fun 2014

Sorry this post is so late. I think I was so Egg Hunted out (If that's even a thing) I didn't eve want to think about it again. I photographed and watched no less than 10 Easter egg hunts this year. Don't worry, I'm only going to share the highlights. ;)

 We started the week off with Egg hunts at Bubee and Little Lady's school.

 Saturday we visited my Grandfather's farm in TN. Little Lady seamed to prefer to WEAR her basket.

 The weather was perfect for kite flying. So Bubee got to try his hand at it for the first time.

He's a Natural!!

 Easter Sunday was spent and Grandma and Grandpa's. All the grandkids got to enjoy the hunt.

 Bubee found the one on TOP of the van, but then he couldn't figure out how to get down.

Cousin G. spotted the one in the tree, but couldn't quite reach.

It was a lot of fun and I LOVED getting to spend time with all our family. What did your family do for Easter?

Fruit Cones - Yummy and Healthy Ice Cream Alternative

Atlanta is already living up to it's nickname of "Hotlanta". We've had temps in the 80s already... I'm a bit nervous to think about what summer will be like this year. With the hot temps comes the begs for Ice Cream. I have a love hate relationship with Ice Cream. It's so yummy, but I and my kids only need so much of it. So we have come up with this fun substitute: Fruit Cones! These are inspired by the Hidden Vally commercials where the kids are getting veggies from the 'ice cream man'. But I prefer fruit ;)

• Waffle Cones
• Whipped Topping
• Frozen or Fresh Fruit:
• Berries
• Peaches
• Cherries
• Bananas
• Melon
• Pears

 Put out a fruit 'buffet' and let the kids make their own!

The possibilities are endless!!!

This is such an easy and simple treat, It's not too messy and is perfect for a hot spring or summer day. This is even a great idea for a party. The waffle cones and whip topping add the perfect amount of sweet while the fruit is loaded with vitamins and juicy goodness!
