Simple Apple Cider

There is nothing more wonderful to me than my home filled with the scents of fall: Apple Cider being my 2nd favorite (Pumpkin or Apple Pie is my number one favorite, because who can say no to pie!!) I always love to make a batch on the first cool morning sometimes more for the smell than the drink ;) This is my favorite way to make it because it's the cheapest and easiest. This is not an exact recipe, it's all about your personal taste. I did include some exact measurements at the end if you prefer ;)

  • Enough Apple Juice to fill your pot or crock pot.
  • 1-5 Cinnamon Sticks (I use 3)
  • Mulling Spices (This can be found near the teas in most grocery stores, or I like to get mine by the case as it's cheaper)

1. Add all the ingredients to your crock pot or pot. Give it a quick stir to mix everything.

2. Heat to desired temperature. (I will literally leave my crock pot on low all day to enjoy a cup when ever I want and the smell all day long!)

3. Serve and enjoy!

It's that simple. The mulling spices already has cinnamon, sugar, clove, lemon, orange, and nutmeg so it's a complex taste with so little effort. I wish so badly that I could share the smell with you right now, but you will just have to try it for yourself ;)

The suggested measurements on my box of mulling spice is 1GAL apple juice per package of mulling spice. I make mine approximately 3Qt. Apple Juice to one package of mulling spice because I like mine strong.

Like this idea? Pin it!!
