Cinnamon Apple Sweet Pockets: Pillsbury Sweet Rolls

One of my favorite smells and tastes is cinnamon apple. Just the perfect balance of everything sweet, tangy, and a dash of spice: Yum! I decided to get creative with a can of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls and made may own recipe I call Cinnamon Apple Sweet Pockets.

2 - Cans of Pillsbury Sweet Rolls
1 - Granny Smith Apple
Makes 8 pockets

1. Peel, core, and slice the apple thinly. (I love my apple peeler/slicer that I used to make applesauce)

2. Flatten out one roll.
3. Place about 1.5 apple slices on top
4. Add a small dollop of icing (Optional)
5. Cover with another flattened roll and pinch the edges together.

6. Cook on lightly greased cookie sheet in 375F oven for 15 min until golden brown.

7. Smother in icing and enjoy while hot!

Santa gave this treat a thumbs up and said he'd take it over cookies on cold Christmas eves. Just don't forget the milk!
