This simple craft can add so much Spring to your house or party. I originally saw this on Pinterest which lead me here. Personally I don't have the patience to trace and cut out that many eggs, so I cheated with an oval paper punch. It was TOTALLY worth the $6.50 I spent on it! It is so easy the kids can help, and you can customize with your own color scheme.
- Spring-colored color chips
- Large oval paper punch
- String (I used some butcher's string)
- Large needle (Optional)
- Small hole punch
1. Use the paper punch to make LOTS of eggs. I found it easiest to turn the paper punch upside down so I could line up the white line in the center. You can make 2 tone eggs or single colors.
I can get 5 eggs out of the large Behr color chips. You do have be careful not to punch out the paint names.
2. Once punched out, arrange the eggs by color. You can do a pattern or a fade. Get creative and make it your own.
3. Use the small hole punch to punch 2 holes in the top, parallel to the white line.
4. Thread the eggs onto the string. I found it easiest to use a large needle.
5. Space out the eggs and hang on the wall, mantle, or entry way and enjoy!
We hung ours on the wall above our dinning table. It adds such a nice spring touch to the room. This garland took me about 15 min to make and was so simple. Bubee helped me pick out the colors and is so proud of it!
